i like it on the bed or on the couch or on the floor. This seems like it is some dirty joke going around Facebook, but it is actually for a good cause. Women all over the country are posting their Facebook status's to say "I like it on the..." as a way to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At the end of October women were asked to post the color of their underwear and this year they were asked to put where they like to put their purse.

Ive taken part in this I guess its a campaign- on my facebook as well. Yet, I feel like for every couple posts I see there are a few negative ones insulting what people are doing. I don't really get it. The point of the campaign is to draw attention- which it does- once people find out what it is for they are acknowledging the issue-which is the point. I think its a great idea to do things like this if only to just have breast cancer be something people are talking about at all. Sometimes things need to start small. I just took part in the breast cancer walk in boston this past weekend. Its incredible the sense of unity there and the way everyone comes together. Awareness is important, and I'm glad that campaigns like this are happening.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with what Ashley said. This was supposed to be an inspiring campaign that hi-lites the issue of breast cancer awareness. People that refuse to acknowledge this for what it is, or that act ignorantly towards it are clearly just rude and disrespectful people. &I like it hanging off the side of the bed! :)
